- New Equipment
- In August 2004 we took
into operation our new compressor, a BAUER Mini Verticus.
- In September 2004 we
took into operation 20 complete sets of MARES dive equipment. Additional
to
- 3mm shorty wetsuits we
now also rent out 3mm long wetsuits for those who don't have the natural
insulation,
- which can be pleasant
during the months of June to September when the temperature ranges 25 to
27 degrees Celsius.
- We have chosen a MARES
Vector Chrome BCD, to offer our guests comfort, as it has a great fit,
and a soft backpack.
- Our MARES Axis
regulators feature a primary and alternate air source, and a console
with depth gauge, temperature gauge
- and pressure gauge. We
have two types of masks in stock the MARES Opera and Lirica with two
types of snorkels
- a purge type and a
conventional type. And we have in stock twenty pairs of MARES Avanti Tre
full foot fins
- which are comfortable
and offer great swim force. Just come, and add some water!
- We now
also have 10 Kowalski Torches which can brighten up
- all of
your dives.

- DVD & CD-Rom
- We are now offering
custom UW video on DVD, custom UW photos on CD-Rom
- Already proven very
popular with our guests is the possibility to
- purchase a custom DVD
with UW footage of the dives made, as well as
- UW Photo's burned on a
CD-Rom.
-

- Best Dive
Center 2004
- In December 2004 Big
Blue Divers was awarded with the U-First Best Dive Center 2004 Award in
Seychelles.
- We are proud to be
awarded Best Dive Center, and wish to thank all of you divers who made
us win this award.
- And we are determined to
remain the best for year to come.
December 26th
2004 Flood waves in Seychelles
- Luckily Big Blue Divers
was spared, all of our divers were back from the morning dive in time
before the first big waves came in.
- Our boats and Dive
Center were saved from havoc. On the 28th of December everything had
turned back to normal and we resumed diving.
- Unfortunately we were
not spared from the torrential rains that followed the flood waves. More
than 300mm of rain came down in just one day,
- more than normal, even
during the rainy season which prevails currently. Water levels came up
very fast causing floods and landslides.
