Twin Barges
During one of our dives here we were lucky to have the best visibility you could wish, and the next day it was gone already. We always had nice dives here with Leaf Fishes, Batfish hovering above the wreck or laying on the sand besides the wreck, Sweet Lips, Lionfish and Scorpion Fish. And on one occasion we also saw two Flying Gurnards, a couple, just laying on the sand in between the two wrecks. Unfortunately they were there only once, during our following dives we could not find them anymore.

Light House
Even though the Whale Sharks were not around anymore we still had some pretty good dives here. The were some Giant Morays, Leaf Fish, a huge big Stone Fish, Crocodile Fish, some baby Flounders, Octopus and often we saw Stingray. But also there were big schools of fish, Sergeant Majors like on the picture below often greeted us as soon as we jumped into the water. And the schooling Mackerel and fusiliers were often there in big numbers as well as the Big Eye Jacks.

September 2005
The weather in general was quite windy, but warm and sunny, the ocean temperature went up to 27 degrees Celsius right at the beginning of the month.
Dredger Wreck
We had some really good dives there with always loads of fish around the wreck. And a few remoras were still sticking around, the ones who lost their host, probably a whale shark who were here just a few weeks earlier. There was also a nurse shark once, and some stingrays. A pair of Ghost Pipe Fish have made the wreck their home and can always be seen around.

Night Dive at Aquarium & Sunset Rocks
Night dives are always special but these ones that we did were terrific. At Sunset Rocks we encountered big Mappa Pufferfish, and Humphead Parrot Fish who were not sleeping yet, but did appear very sleepy. There were also Squid, Moray Eels, Crabs and some Spanish Dancers. The leaf fishes were still sitting in their usual beautiful and colorful spot.
At Aquarium we saw two very big male Hawksbill turtles sleeping, there were loads of Lobsters around, if you would count them the figure would come to around fifty if not more. There were also some Squid, sleeping parrotfish, and as always on a night dive moray eels, and crabs looking for something to eat.

Fisherman's Cove Reef
An interesting dive site with a reef with excellent coral growth and many reef fishes to be seen. The coral hill is the best but the reef also has some very interesting spots were almost always lobster can be seen. Often we saw Octopus and on the sand there were the huge shells of the Queen Helmets. There were also Nudibranches like the Chromodoris Reticulata below.

Sunset Rocks
The visibility here was not always good, but there are always many different species of Lionfish to see, we also saw Octopus on many of our dives and the leaf fishes were always there. One one of the dives we also saw this pufferfish without a tail, instead using its anal and dorsal fin.

L'ilot
We did not make many dives here as the visibility in this area was too bad most of the time. The current from the south-east took all the silt from past dredging activities to this dive site and some other like Chuckles and Sunset Rocks. But we were lucky on some occasions and had really nice diving with many Lionfish, Octopus, Hawksbill turtles and the Seychelles Anemone Fish to name a few. What was interesting were the Sergeant Majors, they had laid their eggs and were now devouring them! See the picture left as proof.
