February 2006
The Visibility was great everywhere, except for a couple of dive sites where
the current did not manage to clean sweep the area. The weather was fairly
calm and sunny, the sea was therefore also quite calm.

February 2005
Good visibility turning down only slightly during some days.
We saw WHALE SHARKS during many occasions at various places.

Chuckles 2006
The visibility was good and we got to see some Hawksbill Turtles, Lobsters, Eagle Rays, Leaf Fish, Moray Eels, Porcupine Fish, different species of Lionfish, Humphead Parrot Fish, and there where schooling fusiliers.

Chuckles 2005
Every time we dived here we had a wonderful dive with so much fish. There were Sweetlips, Oriental and grey and even a Giant Sweetlip, many groupers, Batfish, and lobsters as always. But also two Giant Moray Eels together, a Hawksbill Turtle, Cowfish, Bearded Scorpionfish, Octopus, and Eagle Rays. The schooling fusiliers were there as always as well as the schooling Blue Trevallies.

L'ilot 2006
The visibility was just great, it makes any dive good. But what we came to see here just made it terrific. Many Hawksbills, Blackspotted Stingrays, Eagle Rays, schools of Rudderfish, Humphead Parrotfish, Giant Moray Eels, and we saw a Bull Shark on one of our dives here.

L'ilot 2005

We had good visibility and quite some current on most of the dives there, but that means lot's of fish around, Rudderfish, Snappers and schooling Sergeant Majors, as well as a school of Eagle Rays. And 2 WHALE SHARKS during one of the dives there. And others could be seen snorkeling after the dives.

Sunset Rocks 2006
Very often we see this playful Hawksbill Turtle here, this time she stayed around and we could stroke her one by one. She would swim off and come back again. She made this dive. We always saw some Eagle-rays swimming in formation, as well as Octopus and the always present Peppered Moray Eels.
Ennerdale Wreck 2005
Good visibility even at the bottom. Got a Fantasea Stingray right at the start of the dive. Later we saw schooling striped Jacks, Black Jacks, some Napoleon Wrasses, and a humphead Parrot Fish, several big Bearded Scorpion Fishes, Giant Moray Eels and we saw a BLUE MARLIN passing by.

Dragon's Teeth 2005
A bit of current and good visibility made our dives here. There were Hawksbill Turtles, White Tip Reef Sharks, many Lobsters, Eagle Rays, many Puffer Fish, Octopus, all amidst huge schools of Yellow Snappers, and Blue Fusiliers. Some of the Giant Moray eels were around and all that in the beautiful underwater scenery of this site.

Shark Bank 2006
The Giant Grouper suddenly appeared,
had a look at us and slowly swam off.
The Batfish are back again and always seem to hang out at the same spot. Sometimes we saw the Yellowtail Barracuda's and also the Great
Barracuda's, Octopus, Mantis Schrimp, Eagle Rays, Black Spotted Stingrays,
and the lone Humphead Parrot Fish.

Shark Bank 2005
Good visibility, and quite a strong current on most of the dives. So much to see. The huge big Marbled Stingray was there as well as some smaller ones, Feathertail Stingray, a huge big Blue Lobster. Two Bearded Scorpionfish are there laying next to each other, during several of our dives there. The Great Barracuda where around close up during one of the dives, as well a the big school of Batfish. There were always many Eagle Rays around, Moray eels and Cowfish. Two Octopus could be seen figthing with each other for a little while, and we even saw a Porcupine Ray on one of the dives. And last but not least the huge school with Blue Striped Snappers.
Bay Ternay Marine Park 2006
The visibility was not always good here. Often we had bad visibility in the shallow part and suddenly
as if you would open up a curtain there would be good visibility. There were always some Stingrays, White Tip Reef Sharks,
and Groupers to been seen. And the Schooling Mackerel, this school is so big, and often we see Jobs or Bonito's hunting them,
or a Barracuda with them. We also got to see Turtles, octopus and other reef fish, such as big Pufferfish.

See Pictures below.

Bay Ternay Marine Park 2005
Visibility bad at the shallow end but on all dives good at the top on outside of the reef.
We saw Green and Hawksbill turtles on all of the dives we made. But saw Stingray on only one of the dives
and on the other we saw Eagle Rays. The two baby White Tip Reef Sharks were there and the big pufferfishes,
as well as all the other reef fishes and the curious groupers. We saw 4 WHALE SHARKS here after the dives,
and snorkeled with them for a while before we went on Therese Island for a BBQ.

Light House 2006
There is little coral growth on the granite boulders of this dive site, but it does attract a lot of fish and we usually have very nice dives here.
With good visibility this site is also very beautiful with it scenery of huge boulders and lot's of schooling fish.

Light House 2005
Visibility quite good and lot's to see. There are two Leaf Fishes at the lone rock, a pink one and a white one.
There are two more Leaf Fishes at the deep end, both brown. There are also lots of moray eels, Yellow Margin,
and Giant Moray eels, small Peppered Moray eels and an Octopus, big Pufferfishes are around. But there is also Cowfish.
We saw Marbled Stingrays, Eagle Rays and White Tip Reef Sharks on the dives too.

Yellow Snappers at Dragons's Teeth

Porcupine Fish at Dragon's Teeth

Aquarium 2006
We love this site, there is not so much good coral but there is a lot of fish.
And some very weird looking ones can sometimes be seen here, one of them is the Indian Ocean Walkman.
She is a family of the scorpion fishes and is mostly hiding in the sand with just the eyes
and some fetches of the dorsal fin tucking out.

Cap Matoopa 2005
Good visibility and not much current. We saw one WHALE SHARK briefly on the surface and that was it. But we had a nice dive, saw a couple of White Tip Reef Sharks, some Marbled Stingrays, 3 Leaf Fishes, an Octopus and some of the schooling Batfish. On the way to the next dive site we saw several WHALE SHARKS just of Whale Rock, we snorkeled with one of the whale sharks which stayed around for quite some time.

Joker 2006
More than a year ago I took a picture of 2 Stonefish, and this time I saw this one sitting in exactly the same spot. The couple of times I visited the spot afterwards she was not there anymore.

The pictures on the right and below are taken at Joker
