April 2006
The visibility was great, and current strong at times. The weather was calm and sunny. Perfect ingredients for some great boat rides and superb diving.
The Octopus could be seen on all dive sites, often in pairs as shown on the picture far right taken at Aquarium

L'ilot
We had great visibility and good sightings, but often with quite a strong current. There were many interesting things to see, and not the same things on every dive. Like the Torpedo Ray, she only showed herself only once, and the Leaf Fish did not always come out of hiding. Some pictures can be seen in this row and the row below.
The Ennerdale Wreck
We had good viz and good dives here with on every visit some Giant Groupers and  Napoleon Wrasses. And lot's of schooling fish, Barracuda's and Fusiliers, we also saw a Hawksbill on one of the dives. We explored some of the areas on the stern of the wreck and found them to be beautiful encrusted with sponges, and corals, and a great hiding place for Giant Moray Eels.
Jackpot
This site was as good every time we visited, teeming with life, and always some rays and sharks to be seen.
Feyte
We explored some sites that we thought they would be interesting dive sites. The first one we explored was useless. There was very little coral growth, and not much to see. Except at the end of the dive when fish came out of all directions, they surrounded us and still more kept on coming. But this will probably not happen every time you visit the site. The second site looked like a another disappointment, as we saw nothing but large seaweed the moment we entered the water. Despite this we came to see lot's of good stuff, good coral and much fish life, But the last site we explored just blew it all, the rocks are laying in a formation that made me think of the local sweet bread; Feyte. This site was just stunning, a lot of soft coral and many branching hard corals, and fish all over the place. A feast for the eye, sweet Feyte
Egg Cowrie
Joker
Good visibility, but ordinary dives. We did see the usual stuff , but we rarely saw any Hawksbill Turtles this time. Did see an Egg Cowrie shown left. This shellfish if hopefully making a comeback, we still see it rarely for the moment.

Two Leaf Fishes
Sunset Rocks
Again we saw the surgeonfish spawning, and soon the Mackarel came to feed upon it. There were Leaf Fishes to see, some lobsters and as usual the Peppered Moral Eels.
We also made a number of night dives here and they always revealed many creatures we never see during the day, or only hidden and not walking around freely. Pictures of what we saw can be seen left, right and below of creatures such as Lobsters, Moray Eels, and then there were Decorator Crabs, Sponge Crabs, Hermit Crabs, tiny arrow crabs in fan corals, Whip Coral Crabs, Lionfish, Tiger Cowries, Spanish Dancers, huge Humpheaded Parrotfish, and also the Leaf Fish were still there sitting in the same place during our night dives.
