April 2005
We had good visibility during most of our dives during this month. Whale Sharks we saw only once during the beginning of the month. We had everybody snorkeling with them, and for some of the lucky divers this was their first one after 15 years of diving, others had made only a few dives ever, and there was also a lucky one who saw his one even before his first dive.

Light House
This Leaf Fish is one of three who always hang out at the same rock formation. Also the schooling Big Eye Jacks where there and very active. On several of the dives there we saw more than one Marbled Stingray, Octopus, and of course the Thorny Box Fishes which can always be seen on this site.
Dan Milieu
We had beautiful clear water which made the dive al the better. Lot's of reef fish around and quite some Napoleon Wrasses. We also had some Puffer Fish, the big ones, but also the yellow ones and black starry Puffer Fish.

Aquarium
Many divers are surprised to see so much on their first dive ever. Many Devil Scorpion Fish, Lionfish, and now during the season Octopus can be seen here during all dives, and with a bit of luck Hawksbill Turtles. Feather-tail Stingrays are looking for food on the beautiful and healthy reef going out where you can also find Eagle Ray and often schooling fusiliers.
The visibility was good on all dives, but on some of the afternoon dives we had the sun reflecting on the particles in the water.

Twin Barges & Corsair Reef
The visibility here was not so good, but still lots could be seen. Crocodile fish as always at the deep end of the deeper wreck, and Leaf Fishes on the shallow Barge, as well as Moray Eels and Lion Fish. On one occasion we were particularly lucky to see a beautiful posing Octopus, three big Eagle Rays, a pink Leaf Fish, and a Nurse Shark on Corsair Reef.
Shark Bank
Visibility was always good here, and as always there is this huge amount of fish. The Blue Striped Snappers formed beautiful clouds that pulsed out covering rocks as well as divers. The Huge big Marbled Stingrays were still there during all but the last dive we made here, but on all dives we saw Feather-tail stingray or porcupine stingrays. As well as Octopus, Scorpion Fish, Lobsters and Humphead Parrotfish. On one ocassion we also saw a Torpedo Ray.
Bay Ternay
The visibility was up and down, sometimes good in the shallows, sometimes at the deeper end.
We had beautiful dives here, always with some Hawksbill Turtles, lot's of reef fish, and many times with one or more baby White Tip Reef Sharks, Leaf Fishes, and big Puffer Fishes.

Therese Island

Also this month we made several trips to Therese Island. It is wild place with nice beaches, several nice views and good for walks along the beach. We like to do these trips once or twice weekly, we make 2 dives and a BBQ on an island or one of the beautiful beaches in the marine park of Bay Ternay. Also non-divers can enjoy these trips as we always dive at dive sites that are excellent for snorkeling too.

Dolphins
After a couple of dives we saw Dolphins on the surface and we managed to have a look at them while snorkeling. A beautiful sight to see them passing by, having a look at you and then pursuing they way. Among them where some babies too.
Jackpot

We had terrific visibility. So when our Skipper Alain said there is a dive site somewhere there, I used the surface interval to snorkel over it and found this site. A new dive site full of fish, and with a beautiful rocky scenery. When we jumped in we immediately saw the two stingray, a marbled one and  a whiptail. Later we saw another Marbled Stingray, Octopus, loads of schooling fusiliers and yellow snappers, as well as a good amount of beautiful reef fishes, and rock formations covered with colorful soft corals and  a fair amount of hard corals.

Chuckles
We had good visibility during all of our dives here. But different things to see. During one of the dives a lobster was walking around freely, and a White-Tip Reef Shark swimming around us several times, during another dive we had quite some fusiliers, a "teenager" stonefish, and a marbled stingray, as well as a big Scorpion Fish, and a white Leaf Fish.
Joker
We have had good visibility during most of our dives here, but occasionally some particles in the water. Octopus season, they are everywhere, and often in pairs. Also here we saw a pair of them, but only the male stayed in sight.
